Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated, lawn/landscape team member. The role involves various lawn/ landscaping tasks, including mowing, planting, mulching, edging, pruning, bed maintenance, and weeding.
Candidates with hardscape experience may be assigned to build and support the team lead in creating patios, walkways, retaining walls, and drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Mulching, weeding, edging, and fertilizing garden beds
- Trimming small trees, hedges, and shrubs
- Assisting with seeding, fertilizing, or laying sod on newly developed land
- Removing unwanted, dead, or damaged trees
- Cleaning grounds (e.g., disposing of leaves and debris, disposing of waste appropriately)
- Always maintaining a clean and safe job site and observing job safety standards.
- Planting shrubs, flowers, and trees using proper horticultural techniques
- Performing general and routine building maintenance duties as assigned.
- Elective - Performing snow and ice removal on commercial and residential properties (removing snow by shovel or plow, spreading salt/chemicals to clear sidewalks and parking lots).
- Maintaining a clean and professional appearance.
- Assisting the Lead with job duties to complete jobs 100% and according to company standards.
- Following all safety policies and procedures as set forth by the company.
- Following directions from all Leads, Managers and Foreman.
- Striving to improve job skills and develop the potential for upward growth.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent not required but preferred.
- Previous experience in landscaping or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques and best practices or willing to learn.
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of landscaping equipment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Self-starter.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Ability to move the whole body to perform climbing, lifting, kneeling, balancing, walking, stooping, and repeated bending.
- Exhibit considerable use of arm and leg strength to handle materials.
- Move and handle materials generally weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Work outside with regular exposure to varying weather conditions, ranging from below-zero temperatures to 100-plus temperatures.
Licensing
- Valid Driver's License - over the age of 18+, been driving for 5+ years, fewer than 6 points or 3 occurrences in 2 years on your driver's license
Experience
- No experience necessary
Work hours
- Available to work 36-50 hours a week, April through October; start time 7:30 AM
- Hours vary on weather 20-40 hours a week, November through March; start time 8 AM
- Winter work available: Snow plowing, walk-behind crew, sidewalk crews; on-call
